I assume that the DA150-450 will be much the same: lack of the fine resolution and compromised light transmission and AF performance, but still useable and satisfying when not comparing to the bare lens directly. Anyway, my intention was to check with more detail the way I use to fill umbrellas with the AD200, using several common accesories for fresnel and bulb head, and see if there are really big differences or not.

From a business standpoint, the camera makes sense. It ensures that there is still an inexpensive entry point to the Pentax system, it delivers perfectly adequate performance and great images, and it does that while keeping R&D costs for Pentax at a bare minimum. The KF has a role to play, and it plays it well.
